Stay cool this summer and host an Iced Tea Party!
If you’re looking for an excuse to get the ladies together throughout summer, we have the perfect solution. The Iced Tea Party campaign kicked off this week, serving as a fun, easy and refreshing way to get together with the mum’s and help raise money for lymphoedema.
What a lot of people don’t know is that lymphoedema affects over 400,000 people each year, and is most commonly acquired as a result of cancer treatment. 1 in 6,000 children are born with or affected by primary lymphoedema each year as well - which is a result of a congenital condition that affects how the lymph vessels were formed.
Lymphoedema is a lifelong debilitating disease that has no cure – which is why the Australasian Lymphology Association needs your help.
So how can you get involved?
1. Register to host your Iced Tea Party™
2. Set up your fundraising page – and start promoting your very cool event
3. Start sharing the details of your event with friends, family, work, school and community groups to raise money for lymphoedema research and education. The more people who know about your event the better!
We love the idea of making it a bit of a (sneaky) cocktail event too – why not get everyone to bring a plate of food or a jug of ice tea, set a dress up theme and collect a gold coin donation? It’s a great way to have a fun day with the ladies and help raise money for a cause that needs your help.
